RIP Steve Gerber and Dave Stevens.
The last week has seen the passing of two of the nicer gentlemen having worked in comics.

Steve Gerber created so many whacky characters, but none was more fun than Howard the Duck. I have fond memories of reading the misadventures of the cigar-chomping fowl. He has been working on the Dr. Fate story in the current Countdown to Mystery most recently.

Dave Stevens created one of my favorite Pulp era inspired comic characters, The Rocketeer. The Rocketeer came out originally as a backup feature in Mike Grell's Starslayer comics and then made it's way into his own title published by Pacific. I remember going to see the Disney movie based on the comic which turned out to be just plain fun. The cast was great and seemed like the characters just came to life from the comic.

Dave also had a huge hand in the resurgence of 1950's pinup queen Bettie Page's popularity. His Bettie Page Funnies are gorgeous books and quite hard to locate.

Thanks for the memories guys. Be proud of the body of work you have left behind.

Kingdom Come Superman from the new DC Crisis Heroclix set for $75.00.
We sold another Kingdom Come Superman from the new DC Crisis Heroclix set for $75.00 last night! I would like to save you time and effort as well as money. This is the second lucky buyer in a week who saved $175.00 off a local gaming store's retail price ($249.99) of this hard to find Heroclix figure.

Please keep me busy. Send in your wantlists. I love to chase down comic books, toys, action figures, models, etc...

Matter of fact, I usually am able to save you lots of money as well. We can be reached by email at:

Hundreds of RRP, Wizard Specials, and Incentive Variants available
Did you know that we have hundreds of these hard to find variant cover comics available right now? Every week we receive special covers and variant cover comic books due to the volume of comics we buy. Our policy is to sell these books at prices based on our sell through numbers on the regular covers. 99 out of 100 times we sell these for just cover price! We want you to be a long term repeat customer. Does your local comic shop treat you the same? If not, you should find a new shop. Comic and gaming stores who gouge their customers with inflated pricing because they see you as a dollar sign are surely not going to last very long in this business.
11:22 am est

Complete run of Mike Grell's Warlord now available
On top of that classic bronze age storyline, we also have a nearly complete run of Mike Grell's Jon Sable Freelance and his Green Arrow series available.
