There's a new Captain America coming in January.
Love it or hate it, our heroes we grew up loving are changing. Marvel comics has announced that Alex Ross has redesigned the
traditional Captain America costume in order to modernize him. He is now sporting, get this, a "Chrome" outfit.
It was bad enough when Marvel failed to keep customer interest with their "Day-glow" covers and special gimmicks
in the 1990s. Now Joe Quesada has decided to dig deeper and glitz up the heroes themselves with a bit of bling and dazzle
us with something more than talented writing. On that note, Captain America has consistently been one of the best written
titles over the last two and a half years. Here's to hoping that Marvel does not revert to type and keeps up the quality
writing for which I shell out my $3.00 every month.

Comic World in Stafford, Virginia has closed.
Many of you have heard the sad news. The comic store in the Aquia Towne Center has closed. Comic World's owner Bill
Batt has retired after nearly 17 years of great service to the comics community. I have to say that while I was rather saddened
to hear Comic World would not be there for me to visit anymore, I wish Bill the best in his Gone Fishin' years. Bill and
I have been friends for nearly 20+ years and I will miss his wry sense of humor.

New Horror Comic Collection
We purchased a bunch of horror comics today. There are hundreds of bronze age DCs, Charltons, Marvels, and a bunch of Steve
Niles stuff as well. They are all prepped and available for sale while we still have them. These books usually do not last
long at all so get them while you still can.

New Comic Collection for sale today
I bought a nearly complete Marvel 2099 collection today. It includes nearly complete runs of Spiderman 2099, Ravage 2099,
Punisher 2099, XMen 2099, 2099 Unlimited, and all the mini series and one shots. This collection is almost a full long box
and we are selling it pretty cheaply, so call us for details.

Three New Action Figure Collections today!
We picked up three new collections of action figures today. The first consists of loose Marvel and DC action figures.
The second was Carded and Boxed Power of the Force Star Wars figures. The third collection was vintage Mask, GI Joe, and Transformers.
This is going to be a strong collection week. Stay Tuned for some pretty exciting news coming this week!
