An old friend visited me today.
An old customer and good friend of mine reappeared today after a three year sabatical. He brought in some of his artwork to
show me what he has been working on since our last visit.
Wow! To say that I was amazed does not quite cover
it. The pencil work and inking he is doing now is much better than many professionals in the comic industry. He was terrific
then, but now, he is simply unbelievable. Ask me to see his self published book he brought to me on your next visit.
You'll see what I mean. It is incredible to see people follow their dreams and work hard to perfect their craft. It
reinforces what I tell my children each day. Everyone has something that makes them special. Sometimes it takes
a bit of work to let the rest of us see what we each know we are capable of. Way to go James! I am really proud
of you.

Star Wars Action Figure Collection Purchased
I purchased a sizable collection this morning which contains dozens of older ships, boxed sets, and figures. They are on
display in the store and are available for sale now. Some of the sets available are from the Power of The Force, Episode 1,
etc...

Favorite downtown Fredericksburg, VA places to eat
Most of our regular customers have had the good fortune to already try out the Candy shop and the sandwich shop nearby our
store. If you have not been to either place yet, try to make time during your next visit with us. They are both outstanding.
Olde Time Lollipops and Fudge Factory is just 7 or 8 doors away and has the best candy selection I have seen since
I was a kid. The staff there are great friends of my family and you will love the fudge. You have to try their seasonal
special menu item, Pumpkin Pie Fudge! It definitely reminds me of the Fall parties we had at my Grandparents house

Another Small Comic Collection Purchased
The highlights in this new batch are a decent run of Spawn from issue 50-160, Crow #1, another Carnage 1st appearance story
arc, and about 700+ books added to the clearance room at .50 cents each.

New Jack Kirby Comic Collection
Today's newest collection consists of 4 long boxes of silver and bronze age comics. The highlights are a really nice Jack
Kirby DC collection. We have nearly complete runs of New Gods, Jimmy Olsen, Mr. Miracle, and Kamandi. There is also a lot
of later Kirby Marvel issues of the Fantastic Four. Other books are Metal Men, Challengers of the Unknown, Sea Devils, Silver
Surfer, etc...
